Featuring Beth Sharpe, Principal of English Estates Elementary School. 
 
Beth received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University, her Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida, and her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. Beth has worked in Seminole County Public Schools since 1984 as a gifted program teacher, assistant principal, and principal. She was named Seminole County Elementary Principal of the Year in 2003 and was one of five principals in Florida to receive the 2003 Commissioner’s Principal Achievement Award For Outstanding Leadership from Jim Horne, Florida Commissioner of Education. Beth has been principal of English Estates Elementary for five years and was previously principal of Wekiva Elementary for seven years.
 
English Estates initiated a program called Leadership is Elementary – teaching students about personal leadership and responsibility through Dr. Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.  Dr. Covey visited English Estates on April 7, 2008.  Beth is also a graduate of Leadership Seminole Class of 2003.  Beth also does some consulting work with the International Center for Leadership in Education and FranklinCovey and has given presentations on the Leadership is Elementary program in Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Washington D.C., and Florida.
