Overview:
- Constitutional Amendments require a 60% voter approval and if approved, the language will become effective January 1, 2008.
- Though only requiring one vote, there are four points covered in Senate Joint Resolution 2 – D as a proposed Constitutional Amendment.
- Double Homestead Exemption
- Save Our Homes Portability
- Tangible Personal Property Exemption
- Assessment Caps.
Mr. Johnson will cover each of the points and the effect they will have on property owners in order for them to make an informed decision at the ballot box.
