Mary Alice McCord

  • Mary Alice McCord, Ed.D., CBA is the Manager of the Seminole Advisory Board Council a program that matches existing businesses with a volunteer advisory board for a year.
  • The program is sponsored by Seminole County Government and Seminole Community College and is designed to help businesses grow to the next level.
  • Mary Alice is a certified business analyst with the Florida Small Business Development Center Network. 
  • She has been a business owner and was Director of the Indianapolis Small Business Development Center at Indiana/Purdue Univeristy and holds a Doctoral Degree in Adult Education.

Robert Goetz

  • Robert Goetz winner of the "Network Service Excellence Award"... He’s delivered newspapers for the Long Island Press, worked as caterer at Nathan’s Famous, tested resistors for an electronics component distributor, filled orders for a restaurant equipment dealer, painted houses, served as a medical orderly, and conducted market research for a diversified communications company and a small appliance manufacturer, prior to realizing that there were options other than being an employee. He realized that with a bit of entrepreneurial drive, one could become the employer. Originally from New York, he has made Florida his home since 1977
    .
  • Schooled in liberal arts and economics at State University of New York at Albany (BA) and University of South Florida (MBA), Mr. Goetz effectively weaves the theoretical and classic textbook approach with the hands-on and practical tools necessary for success as an entrepreneur and small business manager. Additionally he has completed numerous professional training and certification programs. He is a frequent contributing writer and columnist to several local and national business publications

  • Mr. Goetz has been founder of a successful marketing communications company, limousine business, and not so successful dotcom company. His clients have included Planet Hollywood, Disney, Harcourt, and Veritas. Since May 2004, he has served as manager of the Small Business Development Center at Seminole Community College in Sanford, Florida
    .
  • He currently functions as the Florida Small Business Development Center area disaster coordinator for the UCF Region. Mr. Goetz has participated in extensive FEMA training at the Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg, MD, and is a regular participant in both the Governors Hurricane Conference, and Restoration Conference in New Orleans. His seminars and workshops focus on the technical and managerial challenges confronted by small business, and are known for their practical and realistic approach. Additionally he serves as adjunct professor of economics. Robert is married to Joanne, a pharmacist with Albertsons. He and Joanne have twin sons.
