Event Description:
Please come and enjoy this months speaker, Suzanne Meehle.  Her talk will be about:
How to Read a Contract and How to Understand Boilerplate.

Suzanne D’Aunoy Meehle knows what it's like to build a business based on passion. To help pay for the costs of college in her hometown of Huntsville, Alabama, she turned her love of cooking into a side business, catering small weddings and parties throughout her hometown. It wouldn't be the last time she followed her passion to success.

After college, Suzanne started her career as a Software Systems Engineer and Database Administrator for healthcare and technology firms. She also built another small business for herself as an independent contractor and consultant, serving high profile clients such as OrlandoJobs.com, Office Depot and VeArd Computer Research.

After twelve years in the software industry, Suzanne decided to follow her true passion. She had always told herself that she would go to law school if she won the lottery. Rather than wait for fate to open the door, she took the initiative to open it herself. In 2003, Suzanne enrolled in Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida and graduated in the top 10 of her class in 2006.

Suzanne spent more than three years at a large Central Florida law firm before once again following her heart and starting her own firm in 2009. Suzanne's passion is helping small businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs. Her history with her own small businesses has been the cornerstone for her work today. Her passion lies with helping others achieve what she has achieved: a small business that competes in a marketplace full of options.

Suzanne teaches courses on representing small businesses at Solo Practice University, as well as writing a monthly column for the site. She has been honored with the highest peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, AV Preeminent. She has also created a free seminar series called, “Your Business Toolbox,” to help local business owners answer common questions about everything from forming and selecting business entities to business taxes and everything in between. She is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO), The Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce (Orlando Inc.). She is also a board member of several nonprofits including Hope and Help Center of Central Florida, Inc., Grown Ass Woman Brigade, Inc., and Retouch International Ministries Inc.
