The Orlando Sentinel is Beth's hometown newspaper. She's a rare Orlando native who loves all things Florida: real grouper sandwiches, canoeing down the Wekiva or tubing down the Ichetucknee, the tourist-driven dress code and the weirder-than-fiction news stories. Beth covered a variety of crime and government beats for the Sentinel before moving to the Business Desk to focus on tourism. She started writing the business column in 2007. She graduated from Lake Brantley High School and the University of Florida. Beth lives in Oviedo with her husband and two young children.
