Name: Art and Music in the Park
Date: September 12, 2014
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
With September being Hispanic Heritage Month, the City of Casselberry has invited Michael Petrovich to perform at the free Art & Music in the Park and The Food Truck Bazaar (thefoodtruckbazaar.com). The event is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 12 at Lake Concord Park, 95 Triplet Lake Drive (behind Casselberry City Hall).

Michael Petrovich, who received a bachelor’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Central Florida, specializes in Spanish guitar. Michael’s influences are guitar greats such as Al Di Meola, Strunz & Farah, Paco de Lucia, Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, Jesse Cook and Carlos Santana.

After graduating, Petrovich taught guitar at Seminole State College, Rollins College, and several other institutions. And he now performs all over Central Florida either as soloist or with his band.

While listening to the music, you’ll be able to stroll through the park and shop at more than 20 local business and artisan booths selling unique jewelry, photography, ceramics and paintings.

And you won’t go hungry as more than 15 gourmet food trucks from The Food Truck Bazaar will offer delicious culinary delights that range from flatbread pizzas to empanadas.

The Casselberry Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar is held the second Friday of each month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lake Concord Park.

Just a few weeks later, the City of Casselberry will continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the Latin Jazz and Art Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27, with jazz fusion guitarist Marc Antoine headlining. There also will be a variety of Latin dancing, food vendors and several art exhibits.
