Event Description:

Jeremy Jobson has a story of trauma, addiction and failure as well as business ownership, success and growth. On February 6th at 11:30am come hear this licensed counselor, community activist and entrepreneur as he discusses 3 ways to cope with the stress of business and 3 red flags to watch for in your life (and others) when dealing with depression.

Jeremy M. Jobson, M.A., M.A. has learned a lot about himself and people from each role he has had in life including:

–  a successful career in Sales, Management and Business for almost 10 years

–  being in ministry over 10 years, both as a Campus Pastor for a medium sized congregation and at a large mega-church as a Pastor in Care and Counseling, Discipleship, Community/Groups, Outreach and Church Planting

–  in his training to become a FL state Mental Health Counseling Intern at Reformed Theological Seminary, earning his Masters of Arts in Counseling degree in May 2017

–  in his experience being a husband to wife Maggie for almost 13 years and father to their three incredible children: Zoe 11, Matt 10, and Ellery 7.

In that process Jeremy has humbly developed a holistic understanding of human beings and yet remains curious about the mystery of each person’s story.  He believes deeply that we are physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and relational beings, and that these elements can not be separated from one another, rather they are deeply intertwined in the past, present and future.

Originally from upstate NY near Syracuse, Jeremy played football at Alfred University before moving to Tallahassee where he received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, with a double major in History and International Affairs.  After graduation he lived in AZ, NV and OR before returning to FL’s east coast, and eventually to Tampa while in business.  There he met his amazing wife, as they were both leaders on a recovery ministry launch team.

Jeremy loves his family and stays committed to learning how to be a better man to them everyday.  He is passionate for their community and the impact it makes on one another and the world around them.  He loves (almost) all music, film and books, as well as being outdoors in the majesty of nature.  His own story that involves divorce, trauma, various addictions and recovery, failure, victory, marital/parenting wins and losses, and much therapy along the way, fuels who he is and what he does in life, in ministry and as a counselor.
